For the past 25+ years, the Cameron Family YMCA has run a gift wrapping booth at the local mall! It’s a great way for our gymnasts to raise money to cover the expenses for Nationals!
Every year there is a local Holiday Bowl in San Diego. In the past, our gymnasts have sold tickets to the event and recieved a portion of the profits.
This year the Wooster YMCA has many National Fundraisers.
We are doing a Sam’s Pizza fundraiser, where we sell pizzas and then Sam’s Club delivers all of the ingredients to us to assemble the pizzas fresh.
Our local Lowes store has a 1,000 dollar grant that they will give to any organization if we have some kind of service for their employees to perform. The more hours of volunteer service we supply their employees the more grant money they give us.
We are planning on having their volunteers help to install our new spring floor cover and other maintenance work needed at our gym.
Each year our gymnastics center puts on a spring show for the community. After the spring show this year we are having a chicken dinner. We have a local chicken producer that will supply the cooked chicken and we go to area stores for donations of rolls, green beans, applesauce etc. the parents all bake a desert.
We are having a raffle with a lot of great prizes. Our gymnast have sold tickets at Sam’s Club and Walmart. The girls have done a great job doing “flips for tips”. We are also having a bottle drive and car wash. We have also gotten area businesses to donate for the trip.
our gymnasts sold Little Caesar’s Pizza Kits, and had a fundraiser at Doc’s Sports Retreat — where they a donated a portion of profits for one day to our National competitors.
